Caught the Culprit

this is Dave. He's my mom's friend and the new owner of my dog, Miley (whom he renamed Sierra). He lives in the mountains and has had it rough these past few years with Colorado floods and fires. He even lost his house and rebuilt it himself. I am happy that my dog is living with him and his other two dogs, as well as some chickens. She guards the coop and even chased a black bear off of his property. 

Today, she's fighting for her life because she was protecting her territory from this mountain lion when he attacked her. This is what Dave said with the picture; "Mountain Lion attacked my dog, dog survived mountain lion didn't. 135lbs male. It's been stalking the house the last couple of days . The attack happened right outside my back door. Shot it twice once in the spine, one in the head." 

He killed it to save our dog, who is spending the night in the hospital.
